August Update – Hello Level 2

It looks like South Africa is going for its second peak, but in a good way. We’ve seen a steady increase in the number of cyclists 🚴‍♂️ and runners 🏃‍♀️ over the past 10 years but the Covid-19 pandemic has caused a second peak. Bike shops are busier than ever and we’ve seen lots of new people and people getting back onto the trails.

Of course every positive has its negative. While the crowd spreads out over the trails, the trailhead is getting busy too and with level 2 allowing for inter-provincial travel we expect to see even more people. We try to help everyone as fast as the Covid regulations allow, but we ask for your patience when it’s busy. Your well being is our main concern and we ask everyone to wear a mask 😷, sanitise, limit to not more than two customers in the shop at a time and keep your distance within the park.

While the full crew is at the trailhead to assist you during the weekend, during the week most of them are out attending to the trails! We’ve been busy again and we hope you can see the difference when you’re out there.
